BAY-LOGI is a Research Institute with 50 re-searchers and with strong logistics industry relationships. Its main departments are Environmental Management and Logistics, IT, Mechatronics, Energetics, Nanotechnology. The institute took part several EU projects in the field of Mechanical, Environmental and Logistics Engineering (research framework programmes).
BAY-LOGI is the largest and most successful non-profit applied research organization in Hungary. It is run by the Bay Zoltan Foundation and aims to enhance the effectiveness and position of Hungarian companies via innovation and technology transfer. To that aim, the institute undertakes R&D activities in the areas of
- material and laser technology,
- information and communication technology
- logistics and industrial production technologies.
Those capacities will be exploited to deliver LOGICAL’s intended outputs.
Jointly with the other two research institutes (PP 4 & PP 16), BAY-LOGI guides the elaboration of the cloud computing concept (WP 3), provides assistance during the testing of the beta-version of the innovative ICT device (WP 4) and during tasks leading to the achievement of the tool’s full service stage (WP 6). Capacities as an university will furthermore be needed when capacity building activities are implemented, including the staging of one Transnational Seminar.
The partner will furthermore use its networks for the dissemination of LOGICAL results, to pass knowledge about latest technological trends quickly to the partners, and to stipulate enriching feedback about the project approach from other researchers.
