Project LOGICAL – transnational logistics' improvement through cloud computing and innovative cooperative business models - Project website about the transnational logistics cloud project LOGICAL

Logistics Network Leipzig-Halle

The network has more than 100 members who present key actors in logistics in the Leipzig urban region. They include business promoters, infrastructure providers, local public authorities and local universities. The network regularly organises expert events where latest trends in logistics are discussed, manages joint presentations of cluster members at leading European fairs, and arranges business joint ventures with companies from other regions. Towards decision
and policy-makers, the network bundles the interests of its members and represents the interest of the local logistics cluster. Through the collaboration with research institutes as members of the network, the association also helps to close the gap between the world of research and small and medium-sized businesses.

Its capacities with regard to the interests of the logistics sector and its ability to reach out to businesses will be exploitet in the implementation of LOGICAL. The partner will organise awareness raising and participatory measures addressed to the anticipated end-users of the cloud computing device, co-ordinate business participation in the testing of the beta-version of the ICT device and in the planned Transnational Seminars, and diffuse the final “LOGICAL Cloud” among key stakeholders in logistics in order to promote the new device’s uptake and introduction in daily routines.
